With a view of building a culture of sharing and caring, Leaders Private School in Sharjah organised a special musical show based on the theme, Year of Giving, on the occasion of KG graduation ceremony.
The function was aimed at teaching toddlers the importance of caring and sharing that the UAE is talking about currently.
While addressing the parent community at the event, Rafia Zafar Ali, principal at the school, said: "Children should be groomed with the best essential skills and qualities from kindergarten through musical shows and classroom teaching. So it is ingrained in them to change their attitude, behaviour and habits as they grow."
She also emphasised on healthy habits and the vital need of developing empathy, kindness and giving attitude.
Connecting with this musical show, the kindergarten department had raised a contribution from the parents under the banner LPS Cares, for the support staff of the school. The objective of this project was to make the children learn the good qualities in life.
Sheela George, vice-principal, who was the curator of the show, said: "Teachers at our school give equal importance to nurturing the best qualities in students as much as they give to developing their competency skills."
One of the parents, Anayeza Amin, expressed her happiness to witness the thoughtful performance by the little ones. She said: "The school has connected the story with the happenings in the UAE. It makes them aware of what is happening around them. I am glad my kid got this beautiful opportunity to perform with her friends on the lovely theme."
