Dubai-based Indian businessman on Sunday contributed Dh1 million to the 'Together We Are Good' programme launched by the Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an.

The initiative provides members of the community an opportunity to support Abu Dhabi Government's efforts to address the current health and economic challenges due to Covid-19.
Balvinder Singh Sahni, founder and owner of RSG Group of Companies, expressed his support for the initiative and asked others to unite for the cause.
"I would like to send a message to our business friends, who are blessed like me and living in this beautiful city, to contribute as much as they can."
Since the launch of the programme last month, thousands of community leaders and members have contributed to the cause.
Since March 23, there has been 8,870 contributions, 6,950 sms, 1,920 calls made by community.
"To date, contributions have resulted in more than 1,000 hotel rooms for medical staff, 70,000 meals, 100,000 food baskets to be delivered to affected families in Abu Dhabi, additional facilities for the healthcare sector and numerous pledges to volunteer."
Residents who wish to contribute can send SMS messages to 6670 (Dh1,000), 6678 (Dh500), 6683 (Dh100) and 6658 (Dh50). They can call 8005-MAAN for volunteering and in-kind and financial contributions above Dh1,000 or send messages on WhatsApp on 0543055366.
"Let's continue to support our community in these challenging times by reaching 10,000 contributions," the authority urged community.
