The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has accomplished 100 per cent of its sterilisation plan for 800 mosques in Dubai, which began on April 1.
The authority did this in cooperation with three accredited companies using the latest devices and technologies as well as according to best international practices in this field, to ensure the highest levels of protection.
Mohamed Ali Ahmed bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of the Mosques Affairs Sector, indicated that sterilisation plan continued on a daily basis for 11 days to include all the mosques in various regions in Dubai, in order to embody the preventive efforts that aimed at ensuring the health and safety of all society members. The companies have used the latest effective and approved technologies in sterilisation, and other sustainable and environmentally friendly means, for the process.
Al Falasi stressed that the specialised teams used the latest equipment for spraying and disinfection, which included targeting their interfaces, entrances, stairs, the external perimeter, the carpets, shelves and books. The follow-up teams have also installed the sterilisation devices on the doors of the mosques.
The Executive Director of the Mosques Affairs Sector stated that the joint teams from the sector's departments are continously following the field work in the mosques, in accordance with the plans developed, for managing individuals and facilities.
Necessary equipment will also be provided during the next sterilisation plan, that enables the cleaning teams, to sterilise the mosques periodically in order to achieve sustainability in the field of mosque sterilisation.
Since the beginning of the plan to sterilise the mosques, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has chosen a group of areas to deal with, on a daily basis, so that the teams can finish the work in accordance with a fixed mechanism.
