Comic book addicts, fantasy enthusiasts, magna maniacs and everyone in between couldn't have asked for a better start at than the Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre until April 9.
Just as the newest season of television's most popular series, HBO's Games Of Throne, begins next month, one of its most popular stars made his appearance to sign autographs to a frenzy of fans. Nikolaj Coster Waldau plays one of the most loved and hated anti-heroes in the television show, Jaime Lannister the King Slayer.
MEFCC is one of the biggest popular culture conventions of its kind allowing comic book collectors, gamers and sci-fi and fantasy obsessed fans to connect and express the geekiest side of their personalities on an extreme level.
"I love dressing up, this is the second year in a row that I do," added Asad Mudeer who was dressed up as the Riddler, "I love super villains whether they are DC comics or Marvel comics I love them. They have all the fun, they break the rules, that's me, I like to break the rules!"
Almost every other person is dressed up in extreme costumes of their favorite super heroes, villains or gaming heroes.
