Representatives from over 60 institutions in more than 10 countries were on hand at a two-day education fair held at the Shangri La Hotel, including international language schools and universities in the UAE and the Middle East, Europe, North America and Australia.
The fair that began on Thursday featured group language courses, graduate courses, post-graduate and doctorate courses, work, study and travel, art and design, and cinema and performing arts, as well as undergraduate courses, Masters and MBA courses, hospitality and tourism courses, gastronomy courses and summer camps and boarding school options.
Dr Ayoub Kazim, managing director of the Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Village, said the event is part of Dubai's efforts to attract international students to study and work in the Emirates. He encouraged students to consider the UAE as a study destination because of the large number of opportunities across various sectors related to Dubai Expo 2020 projects.
Dr Kazim said that the high concentration of educational institutions in Dubai's academic zones offers a unique opportunity.
