The emirate has shown its appreciation for the humane service done by the medical establishment by offering to cancel all their traffic fines. Under the directives of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Ajman Police have been ordered to cancel all traffic violations recorded by "doctors and members of nursing agencies" in the state.
This courtesy is indicative of the esteem in which they are held for their efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and care for patients and to protect and preserve the lives of citizens and residents in the country, while remaining dedicated to their profession.
Sheikh Ammar stressed the sacrifices made by these heroes. He also called for solidarity and cooperation among the general public to mobilise concern and provide support to these cadres in facing the challenge. He said every individual today stands by their side and applies precautionary and preventive directives to support them.
The Crown Prince of Ajman unreservedly expressed his pride in the medical staff, indicating that these efforts reflect a sense of commitment and positive citizenship.
Major-General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, also expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Crown Prince in cancelling all traffic violations committed in the emirate for the medical cadres.
He said that it was an honour to offer this courtesy at a time when they bear the brunt of the crisis and we should give them all our gratitude, encouragement and praise. He urged all citizens and residents to take responsibility for the safety of the country and support medical personnel in accomplishing their mission by adhering to the instructions in maintaining physical distance and staying home.
