The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has called on families and employers, who are interested in hiring domestic help in Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, to approach and check with the service centres (Tas'heel) in these emirates to finalise the required transactions.
Aisha Belharfiyya, assistant undersecretary at the ministry for domestic helpers affairs, said: "Work on coordination is under way with the Ministry of Interior to take the necessary arrangements for receiving applications from the customers in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah through the centre services in the two emirates."
"The ministry, beginning from Sunday, will provide the services of bringing in and hiring domestic help in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, through the three Tas'heel" service centres," she said.
The ministry had commenced receiving applications from the customers in Dubai at the end of last year, and in Umm Al Quwain from May 21; Ajman from June 18 and in Fujairah from July 1 this year.
Belharfiyya said the services offered by Tas'heel centres were processed online, and the applicant is informed on the status of his application through SMS.
"The applicant will also be notified on the status of his application by e-mail, through which the customer will be furnished with a copy of the entry permit for the employee," she noted.
