The Omani bus driver who crashed into a road barrier in Dubai resulting in the death of 17 people on June 6 has admitted to committing a mistake that led to the accident.
Salah Bou Farrucha Al Felasi, advocate-general and head of the emirate's traffic prosecution, said the 53-year-old driver has confirmed he caused wrongful death due to his driving mistake.

He added that the court has adjourned the case for hearing on July 9.
The driver is facing multiple charges, with the Dubai traffic prosecution demanding that he pay total blood money of Dh3.4 million.
