The Dar Al Ber Society (DABS), in a positive response to the Year of Giving initiative launched by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has initiated an all-new service for indigent people.
The 37-year-old charity association, based in Dubai, has launched the 'Barq of Giving' or 'Charity Wire' philanthropic service for helping the registered low-income people and patients, in cooperation with the UAE Barq Group.
Both sides have agreed that the charity project, in line with the presidential initiative, is one of the early fruits of their strategic cooperation this year, and an attempt to put in place the prudent leadership's exemplary vision.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, executive director of Dar Al Ber, and Khalid Ismael Safar, director-general of the UAE Barq Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. "The promising agreement is aimed to boost humanitarian and sociable cooperation between the two sides, and enhance solidarity among members of the society," Bin Zayed said.
The service is totally for charity and non-profit. Dar Al Ber will be specifying certain phone numbers for SMS-based contributions to humanitarian cases.
