Dubai Sports City's Troon Golf managed Els Club have been busy in the days leading up to Christmas as they have been donating specially created gift bags for the workforce of Dubai.
Having paid a visit to Jumeriah Village Circle, and led by the Els' Club General Manager, Chris Brown, over 400 gift bags were carefully put together and donated to construction workers at the Hameni Project site in JVC, which is run by the China State Construction Engineering Corp.
The initiative by the Els Club saw the golf club provide a variety of essential items in each bag including bars of soap, razor and shaving cream, bath towels, face towels, toothbrushes & toothpastes, hair combs & brushes, men's deodorant, men's cologne, shampoo & conditioner, face cream, dates, lollies & biscuits, blankets, and men's socks.
Chris Brown, who led the distribution in JVC said: "It's fantastic that we are able to do this with the help of donators in Dubai. Most of us in Dubai share something in common, and that is that we are all away from our home.
"It is important to us that we understand that being away from home isn't easy, and that for the construction workers, not being able to spend this time of the year with loved ones can be extremely difficult.
The gift bag contained items donated by Proctor & Gamble, JW Marriott Marquis, Sweet Factory, Spinney's and Vista Marketing and Al Qutbi Building Materials along with Dubai Sports City.
