A firefighter in Dubai was martyred as he battled a blaze that broke out in the emirate. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, took to social media on Tuesday to pay his respects.

"Today, Dubai lost Sergeant Adel Nasser Saleh who was martyred in the line of duty," Sheikh Hamdan tweeted as he shared a photo of the deceased. "We pray to God to show mercy on his family and grant them solace."
It was not immediately clear where the blaze broke out or how the firefighter was martyred.
