Dubai's Global Village will open a week earlier this year. The multicultural family destination will open for Season 28 on October 18, with the earlier dates being October 25. The move is in response to “overwhelming demand, and to provide an extended opportunity for everyone to indulge in a more wonderful world.”
The family theme park will be open for 194 days and will shut its doors for the season on April 28, 2024. By opening a few days earlier for Season 28, Global Village aims to ensure that guests can enjoy an extended period of thrilling entertainment, cultural diversity, and unparalleled attractions.
Each year, millions of visitors from all corners of the globe gather to revel in the park’s vibrant atmosphere, captivating shows, delectable cuisines, and unique shopping opportunities.
Considering the number of visitors in the 27th edition, Global Village broke all the records in its previous season. The entertainment park received more than 9 million visitors, shutting its doors for the season on April 30, 2022.
In the last edition, Global Village saw more than 90 cultures represented across 27 pavilions as well as 40,000 performances by 400 artists from over 40 different nationalities, from its opening on October 25, 2022. Visitors also experienced over 175 rides and attractions, shopped and dined at over 3,250 outlets, and enjoyed 77 unique fireworks displays.
The previous edition had 27 pavilions, with the new Qatar and Oman pavilions joining the existing ones, which are the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Africa, the Americas, China, Egypt, Europe, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, Yemen and Russia.
Over 50 new dining concepts along with more than 200 restaurants, cafés, and street food options are among the culinary line-ups in the last edition.
The destination, which remains closed during the summer, has been a beacon of cultural exchange, world cuisines, exciting entertainment, and fun for over a quarter of a century.
