All UAE residents and visitors will be required to acquire a license, go through training and prove their ability to fly a drone before operating one.
The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has said the new mandates will come into effect after 40 days as a new law. The move is to ensure airport, airplane and passenger safety.
So far, there has been four drone-related incidents that have shut down the Dubai airport. Each minute the airport is closed, it costs the Aviation industry $1 million.
