The Dubai Parks and Resorts will open doors to Emiratis across the country in its first 'UAE national open day' this week. It will conduct a series of roadshows across the UAE as it looks to empower and grow a new generation of talent for the theme park industry.
The open days, the first of which will take place on November 28 at the Emirates Towers Godolphin Ballroom in Dubai, are designed to identify Emirati candidates for the exciting Forsati programme.
Forsati, launched in September 2015, is part of the Dubai Parks and Resorts' extensive Emiratisation programme. Through the programme, the entity aims to hire more than 1,000 Emiratis in the next 12 months to compliment the Dubai Plan 2021 and the 7-Year National Agenda to promote Emiratisation and empower national talent.
Forsati, which means 'my opportunity' in Arabic, will comprise a development programme for UAE nationals of high school education or below and provide a total of six months training to over 800 Emiratis.
The open day on November 28 is one of several, which will take place till February 2016 across the UAE as Dubai Parks and Resorts looks to grow its workforce. The company has so far hired 30 Emiratis for its Helmi programme, which will see the first 10 graduates receive a full scholarship to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, US.
Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, chief executive officer of Dubai Parks and Resorts, said: "Dubai Parks and Resorts is committed to empowering Emirati talent at all levels of our business as it looks to grow the theme park industry in the region. Our innovative Forsati programme is designed to provide intensive and practical training to high school graduates and below. We look forward to meeting potential ... employees at our first open day and later across the rest of the UAE."
The Dubai Parks and Resorts will feature motiongateT Dubai - a unique theme park showcasing some of Hollywood's most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate as well as the region's first LEGOLAND® Dubai and a LEGOLAND® Water Park.
Committed to bringing together the best of the East and West, it will also feature Bollywood ParksT Dubai, the first ever theme park based on the sights and sounds of Bollywood. The destination will be connected by RiverlandT Dubai - a retail, dining and entertainment walkway - and guests can stay at the LapitaT Hotel, a Polynesian-themed resort catering to families.
