Dubai starts distributing 600 residential plots electronically

Dubai - Using smart technologies to facilitate the distribution of land is part of the remote work system that was adopted by the municipality.

Some 600 residential plots are set to be given to eligible Emiratis in Dubai but this time, the municipality is distributing all of them electronically so that beneficiaries don't have to visit any office.
Located in the emirate's Nad Hessa area, the plots of land are being turned over to citizens who need them most, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Dawoud Al Hajri, director-General of Dubai Municipality, said: "We immediately started implementing the directives of His Highness, which has always embodied the interest of our wise leadership in ensuring the provision of housing for our beloved people, and making sure that all their requirements and needs are met."
Using smart technologies to facilitate the distribution of land is part of the remote work system that was adopted by the municipality to ensure customers' safety amid the pandemic, Al Hajri said.
Besides turning over the residential plots, the municipality also seeks to create a convenient neighbourhood for the new land owners.
"Setting up various service facilities in these areas comes at the top of our priorities. These include mosques, schools and parks, in addition to the various commercial service outlets," Al Hajri added.
