Brand Dubai, a subsidiary of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has launched its latest artwork on the hoarding of the Dubai World Trade Centre. The new project is part of Brand Dubai’s initiatives to spread creative artwork around Dubai.

The project is an artistic representation of the slogan ‘Dubai an Open Air Museum’, which was originally launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative aims to highlight and boost Dubai’s position as a hub for culture and art.

Mona Al Marri, Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, said, “Dubai is an ideal environment for art and innovation, and the emirate is home to various cultures and civilisations that coexist in harmony. The architectural icons built in Dubai over the past few years represent the creative spirit of the city. The artistic works we adopt document all aspects of Dubai’s development.”

Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai World Trade Centre, said, “We are pleased to support Brand Dubai by participating in this important project aimed at transforming the emirate into an open air museum. This effort reiterates the importance of the contribution of talent across the Emirate to the greater success of Dubai and further supports the growth of creativity and art across the city.”

The artwork presents different images for Dubai’s cultural and urban attractions and the emirate’s architectural development over the past decades.
