Dubai - The display of the Pakistani flag on the tallest skyscraper took place at 8:45pm.

Dubai's Burj Khalifa lit up with the colours of the Pakistan flag tonight to mark the country's 74th Independence Day. The special event was confirmed by the Pakistan consulate to Khaleej Times earlier on Friday.
The display of the Pakistani flag on the tallest and most famous skyscraper took place at 8:45pm highlighting the strong friendly relations the UAE and Pakistan share.
Another iconic building in UAE lit up with the colours of Pakistan's flag on Friday night.
ADNOC's building in Abu Dhabi lit up with the colours of the Republic of Pakistan flag in celebration of its Independence Day.
Earlier on Friday, the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a congratulatory message to President Arif Alvi of Pakistan on the occasion of his country's Independence Day, which is marked on August 14.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar messages to President Alvi, as well as to Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, on the occasion.
