Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, will showcase the national flag of Afghanistan on August 19 on account of the country's 100th Independence Day.

The event was confirmed to Khaleej Times by the Afghanistan consulate in Dubai.

The time at which the flag would be showcased on the Burj Khalifa was not disclosed.
