While congratulating the Egyptian community here on the occasion of the 64th Egypt National Day, top diplomats on Monday said that marking the event "here in the UAE really matters".
According to them, Egypt will also overcome the ongoing challenges, including the current economic hitches.
Speaking to Khaleej Times on the sidelines of celebrations to mark the National Day also called July 23 Revolution, the Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE Wael Gad said the challenge is enormous, divergent, and varied.
The Egypt National Day falls on every July 23 to commemorate the establishment of the Republic and the end of the monarchy.
'Good chance to thank UAE, its leadership' Congratulating the Egyptian community on the occasion, the envoys said, marking the event here in the UAE really matters. "It is a good chance to express our profound appreciation to the UAE leadership and people for their tireless support to Egypt." Such unique allegiance crowns the bilateral historic relations that have been founded and nurtured by the late Shaikh Zayed bin sultan Al Nahyan, El Bedewy said. "We are really thankful to the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Their Highnesses The Rulers of the UAE for their support." The event saw the presence of Shaikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General of Dubai Media Department, along with a number of ambassadors, consuls, diplomats, senior officials and dignitaries.

The revolution started by a group of armed officers, called Free Officers Movement, toppled King Faruq, which eventually led to the downfall of monarchy and establishment of a modern state. Thus Egypt became an inspiring example for African nations.
The envoy added that Egypt is a key player in the region and "have all the potentials needed to make an astounding success, and prevail over these difficulties, but this can only be done with hard work rather than dreams."
Such commitment will definitely bear fruits not only for these generations but more importantly for future ones, Gad said.
"Our hard work will ensure a brighter future for our children and grandchildren."
Paying tribute to the UAE leadership, he noted that the Egypt-UAE fraternity relations are deeply rooted, strategic, and exceptional, and are not only limited to the leaderships but also span the people of the two countries.
"Our historic relations, which flourished after 2013, go back to the time of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, who was known for his love and incessant support to Egypt."
Sherif El Bedewy, Consul General of Arab Republic of Egypt in Dubai and northern emirates, said the Egyptian economy is immune against the global slowdown and terror attacks that are threatening the entire Arab region.
"The Egyptian Armed Forces are in a real state of war against the forces of darkness and terrorism "not only in defence of Egypt but rather of the Arab region as a whole," he said.
"The development plans that cover all aspects of life will attract foreign investments to Egypt, giving a boost to our economy, and help improve the people's standard of living."
The 1952 revolution of Egypt has had a significant impact on the region, and "has been a green light for the people to attain and work for their long-aspired ambitions to enjoy freedom and social justice, and live with dignity," he said.
