Today marks a double celebration for these parents who welcomed their newborns on the first day of Eid Al Adha.
Ali Abdulrahim Al Ibrahim and Hebah Fayez Said Al Zoubi welcomed their newborn on the first day of Eid Al Adha. At the stroke of midnight, baby Humam was born at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, bringing immense happiness to his Jordanian parents.

Humam, weighing a healthy 4.150kg at birth, is the fifth child of the Jordanian couple. After receiving their baby in swathing clothes, the parents expressed their overwhelming joy and gratitude, saying: “This Eid is a truly special one for us as we welcome our son into our lives. Our family is blessed to share this moment on such an important day. We are deeply thankful to the medical staff for their exceptional care. Our hearts are brimming with happiness, and this Eid will forever be etched in our memories."
“It’s always heartwarming to witness the arrival of babies, especially on occasions like Eid Al Adha,” added Dr Fady Hachem, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Burjeel Hospital.
Another baby boy was born at midnight at Aster Hospital, Al Mankhool, in Dubai. The proud and happy Indian parents, Shalaka Alias Sharmila and Sagar Gulab Mirpagar welcomed their second child in the family, who was delivered via caesarean birth at 12am.
They expressed their happiness: “We are grateful to God for blessing us with a baby boy. We are so happy for the new member of our family. We would like to thank all our friends, family, and the hospital staff for supporting us throughout this journey. We also want to thank the UAE for making our life happy and safe here.”
Another happy Indian couple, Seerin Sitara and Akthar Hussaini Saleem, welcomed their bundle of joy when their baby girl was born at 1.27am at Aster Hospital, Al Qusais, in Dubai.
“We are so thankful to Allah for the beautiful gift. We feel so blessed that our baby girl came on such a blessed day,” they said.
Two baby girls were born on Sunday in the early hours of the Feast of Sacrifice at Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman — one to an Egyptian couple and another to Pakistani parents.
"The birth of our baby girl on this blessed day has filled our hearts with joy and made this Eid truly special for us," said Ahmed, the proud Egyptian father. He expressed his gratitude for the support of the hospital staff and the safe delivery of their baby, who was born at 2.45am, weighing 2.7kg.
"It has been an eventful day, and the doctors and staff were incredibly supportive. We couldn't ask for a greater blessing than this," he added.
Pakistani parents Tabeeta and Sylvester Rock welcomed their second child – a baby girl weighing 3.2kg – at 3.20am. "We had been eagerly awaiting her arrival – since she was due last week – and we are overjoyed that she chose such an auspicious occasion to grace our lives. This Eid Al Adha will forever hold a special place in our hearts," said the proud parents.
An hour later, another healthy baby boy was born at Prime Hospital in Dubai; Liam Nivin came into the world weighing 2.72kg at 4.39am. His happy parents, Neha Raju and Nivin, said having their baby born on Eid Al Adha day has brought their family immense joy.
The Indian couple thanked Dr Shameem Mir, HOD consultant obstetrics and gynaecologist, and resident doctor Dr Shizra Shahnawaz for successfully delivering their baby.
RAK Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah also welcomed their Eid baby just after midnight on Sunday. Indian parents Abdurahiman Koroth and Mumtaz Erayath Vadake Purayil welcomed their third child – a bouncing baby boy weighing 3.055kg – at 12.48am. The happy couple were overjoyed to have received the bundle of joy on the auspicious occasion.
Dr Raza Siddiqui, RAK Hospital executive director, said: "This blessed day, which symbolises sacrifice, faith and unity, has been made even more special with the arrival of precious babies. We extend our warmest congratulations to the proud parents and wish everyone a joyous and blessed Eid filled with happiness and prosperity."
The first day of Eid Al Adha was also extra special for two Filipino couples who became parents for the first time.
Maricris Avan and Christian Jerico Yap welcomed their bundle of joy – a baby girl named Cielo Mari, born at 1.30am on Sunday at NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi. The baby, delivered via C-section, weighed 3.245kg at birth.
It was a normal delivery, meanwhile, for Filipina mother Aprilyn, who gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 2.87kg at 4.19am at NMC Royal Women’s Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The father, Von Angelo, was at the bedside after the birth to welcome their first-born. Both parents are working as nurses at the same hospital.
Filipino parents Camille de Guzman Roque and Kenneth delos Reyes Bernales welcomed their second child, named Kane Calle R. Bernales, at 3.54am. The baby was delivered normally at NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi and weighed 2.5kg.
A healthy baby girl named Eida brought immense joy to the Al Rams family as she came into the world at 7.50am at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi.
Salem, the father, said: “We are thrilled and incredibly grateful to have welcomed our daughter on this special day of Eid Al Adha. I thank the entire hospital team for their exceptional care.”
On the special occasion, nurses and staff distributed flowers and chocolates to all patients and children, enhancing the festive spirit within the hospital.
