After a month of fasting he, who has abstained from eating and drinking and avoiding all what Allah has ordered to avoid and abandon, will find himself becoming more faithful, said Aiysha Al Mohiri, Senior Director (Development Section) of Dubai Economic Department.
The end of the holy month declares the advent of Eid Al Fitr, which is the gift and reward of Allah to his worshippers who have sincerely obeyed the orders of their Creator and distance themselves from sins. This will help them gain the consent of Allah and make Him forgive their sins and accept them as true believers.
Ramadan is a test for Muslims as they bear hunger, thirst and hardship. True believers are those who also pray all night. All the hard work and efforts they made during Ramadan will culminate in Eid.
On the first day of Eid Al Fitr, 20 minutes after the sun rises, Muslims gather to perform the Eid Al Fitr prayer, after which they visit relatives to exchange Eid greetings and share their joy.
A Muslim also visits his friends and receives his neighbours and friends, as well as gives charity to the poor and the needy.
Since Eid Al Fitr is important, arrangements for celebrating the occasion should be made earlier during Ramdan. These include buying new clothes and household items. But, remember not spend lavishly.
People should refrain from going on a spending spree. They should carefully choose what to buy and what not to. Do not try to store much food. It is always better to buy fresh.
Also, make sure children do not play with firecrackers,
