The number of Emirati employees in Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADCM) has reached 2,058 against 314 expatriates, covering 87 per cent of the total workforce, during the year 2015.
Meanwhile, Emiratisation rate in the municipality's organisational structure has hit 94 per cent, with 2,013 Emirati employees and 149 non-Emirati employees, out of the total 2,152 employees.
The Municipality, however, is poised to continue its efforts to achieve the strategic objective of securing 95 per cent of job opportunities for Emiratis with the municipality.
This reflects the municipal system's keenness to implement the job succession policy, empower Emirati nationals to obtain employment opportunities in order to achieve Abu Dhabi vision with regard to Emiratisation of public sector.
The number of female citizens recruited this year has reached 127 females; and the number of Emirati women in the municipality's organisational structure is now 129 females. The municipality aims at raising female representation to 35% out of the total workforce. Three special needs employees have been recruited this year, bringing the total to 18 special needs employees, out of the target of 45.
The number of women recruited in the municipality, be it in posted or non-posted jobs or contracted personnel has reached 732 of whom 31 per cent are Emiratis, while the organisation structure has 724 women of whom 34 per cent are Emiratis.
