The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has started the houses delivery process to eligible Emiratis in Khalifa City on Sunday.
A total of 177 houses were delivered to eligible beneficiaries, out of a total of 312 houses, reaching a delivery rate of 65 per cent.
The initiative comes in implementation of the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and orders of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Office, as part of a plan to hand over 1436 residential units and 2,432 land plots in Abu Dhabi emirates.
The municipality stated that eligible Emiratis whose names had been endorsed in the directives of Shaikh Khalifa started reporting to the municipality at a medium pace. The civic body called upon all entitled beneficiaries to receive their houses as soon as possible.
Immediately after the completion of Phase I, which includes the delivery of the houses in Khalifa City, Phase II will commence to deliver houses to needy and eligible Emiratis. The move is part of a systematic plan that provides quick and easy services to Emiratis befitting their needs.
Immediately after issuance of the decree, the municipality prepared practical procedures to expedite the implementation of the directives.
The new homeowners expressed their appreciation for the gracious gifts they received. The move reflects the keenness of the nation's leaders to provide all means of decent and stable life for Emiratis in their homeland.
