The Abu Dhabi Municipality is participating in the Career Fair 2016, which began on Monday at the national exhibition centre. The municipality is offering tens of job opportunities for qualified Emirati job seekers. Musbbah Mubarak Al Murar, acting general manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, said: "The municipality views the Abu Dhabi Career Fair as a key plat-form for participating bodies to offer job opportunities ... to young job seekers. It contributes to achieving the Emiratisation drive in an optimal manner and avail the opportunity to assess labour market needs." Owaida Al Qubaisi, acting executive director of support services sector, said the municipality had achieved 94 per cent Emiratisation rate. "The number of Emirati wom-en in the municipality's organisational structure is now 129, occupying leadership, administrative and technical jobs. The municipality intends to raise the percent-age of Emirati women employed to 35 per cent of the total municipal workforce." The municipality also recruited three disabled employees last year, bringing the total number of disabled staff to 18.
