Essence of mankind is his mind: Sheikh Saif

Dubai - He reiterated that the great leaders of the UAE have set an example by using wisdom in not just force alone, but to use it in balance with tolerance.

 The UAE has launched 50 social initiatives across the world since 2007, and it ranks first in 50 global indicators across various sectors, thanks to the wise leadership of the UAE, said Lt-Gen His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
In a session titled 'Journey of Wisdom', Lt-Gen Sheikh Saif spoke at length about the collective responsibility of all UAE residents to maintain the path of wisdom, in order to secure the future for the coming generations. He said it was with the wisdom passed on by God and the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, that the UAE has witnessed unprecedented success in all matters of governance.
Lt-Gen Sheikh Saif, using references from the history of mankind and religion, said the "essence of mankind is his mind". He said God has blessed all humans in the world with wisdom, however, visionary leaders have invested in their country's people to achieve greatness.
He reiterated that the great leaders of the UAE have set an example by using wisdom in not just force alone, but to use it in balance with tolerance. He said: "The biggest investment is investing in people and this is what Sheikh Zayed has done for the UAE."
He began his talk by thanking all UAE leaders across the seven emirates during the seventh summit. Sheikh Saif said the UAE's success wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the incredible vision left behind by father of the nation Sheikh Zayed. He said: "Sheikh Zayed is the sage of the Arabs and has been called by strangers before relatives, living the hearts of people with his wisdom."
Lt-Gen Sheikh Saif said the leadership has placed a written mechanism of selection to appoint ministers and officials, beginning with the first - Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs. "She was the first to be selected in this manner, and she was highly successful. The same applied to all others who came after her."
The leader's educational levels were assessed, and personal interviews were conducted. "This strategy was set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, and I will let you in on a secret. Let us engage in self-assessment to reach to one single objective - to make the UAE the number one in everything," said Shiekh Saif as thunderous applause filled the stage." Marzrui is the youngest government minister in the world.
He praised Sheikh Zayed for the pivotal role in bringing Egypt back to the Arab world, during a very tough time. Following the footsteps of Sheikh Zayed, in 2017, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, played a pivotal role in fixing the diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Speaking about the contributions made by Dubai rulers, Sheikh Saif said: "The late Sheikh Rashid established Port Rashid with a view to the future, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed has furthered this vision and established DP World that now has 80 ports around the globe; the sun never sets on these ports."
