Dubai - Dubai may be pretty impressive to look at from the ground, but these pictures shared by astronauts show that the city is even more spectacular when viewed from space.
You may have become used to looking down from the tall skyscrapers in Dubai to catch a glimpse of the ever glittering city. You may have even become tired of staring down from the mighty Burj Khalifa, but ever wondered what it is like to see Dubai from space? Burj Khalifa goes from super-sized to souvenir-sized and Palm Jumeirah islands look like a tiny ring. Dubai may be pretty impressive to look at from the ground, but these pictures shared by astronauts show that the city is even more spectacular when viewed from space. Brit astronaut Tim Peake "had been waiting to capture Dubai from space", but when he finally managed, he got photobombed by SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. However he did manage to get a better snap the second time around!
Veteran astronaut Scott Kelly who recently came back from a 340-day stay at the orbiting International Space Station, tweeted this photograph of Palm Jumeirah, adding "#Dubai, #GoodEvening from @Space_Station! You're brilliant as always."
