Dubai - Mall of Emirates, City Centre announce new offers for school students

With students preparing themselves for school reopening, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, Mirdif, Meaisem and Al Shindagha have announced new promotions for stationary, gym kits, lunch boxes, school bags, hair accessories and shoes.
Parents can avail from promotions on school gear from mall retailers such as Shoe Mart, Skechers, Sanrio (Hello Kitty), Jashanmal Around the World, Samsonite, Virgin Mega Store, Jumbo Electronics and Forever 21, a press release said on Wednesday.
Parents who shop for Dh300 or more at City Centre Deira can send their kids in Spectacular Science Workshops, an innovative 'gamification' concept that is both educational and fun.

Children will learn about such concepts as environmental protection, computer programming and more during daily demonstrations led by a quirky 'mad scientist'. Running from September 3 to 9, the interactive sessions will cover a different topic each day.
Each participant will produce work to take home and receive a 'science starter kit' containing a lab apron, a pair of safety goggles and materials to be used during the workshop he or she signed up for, the release said.

City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif are running a back-to-school prize draw from August 13 to September 9. Each day, one lucky person will win an Dh5,000 voucher at City Centre Mirdif and Dh2,000 to spend on school gear at City Centre Deira.
To enter, visitors at City Centre Mirdif must shop for Dh300, while at City Centre Deira customers must shop for at least Dh200 on fashion - or Dh300 at any store - and head to either mall's customer services desk to redeem their receipts for raffle tickets.
During the first days of Eid Al Adha, from August 31 to September 2, the shoppers will have the opportunity to double their chances of winning a Dh5,000 gift card as part of the mall's Back to School campaign.
The malls are offering grand prizes for parents too, with the winners announced on the final day of the promotion. City Centre Deira will give a prize to one lucky shopper and pay Dh25,000 towards tuition fees for their offspring.
City Centre Me'aisem, City Centre Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha are partnering with Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) to offer shoppers a chance to nominate a student of their choice to win a scholarship worth Dh25,000 each.
