An Asian man was sentenced to six months in jail by Al Dhafrah criminal court after he was found guilty of killing sheep. He will be deported after serving the sentence.
The man wanted to seek revenge from the farmer and killed the sheep, Al Ittihad reported. During the trial, he denied all accusations saying he fed the sheep as the farm owner had asked him to. All of the sheep died after consuming the fodder.
Found guilty, the court sentenced him to six months in prison and deportation.
Additionally, he was sentenced to three months in jail in a separate case, after he was accused of selling vegetables from the farm illegally, without asking the farm owner.
The public prosecution received a report from the owner, and the worker admitted that he did sell some of the farm's products for Dh42.
However, the worker denied the stealing accusations before the court, adding that the owner asked him to sell all of the farm's products. He took some of the ruined vegetables for his friends.
The Asian man said that another worker wants to take his place on the farm and accused him of stealing.
