When an Emirati family went to pay their respects in the mourning tent of a martyr, nothing could have prepared them for the sad news they were to receive.
The family members of Saeed Salem Al Suraidi were in the mourning tent in Fujairah when they received information that he had succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the tragic Yemen attack.
"We received the bad news in the mourning tent of martyr Mohammad Al Suraidi, who was laid to rest on Saturday," says Salem Obaid Al Suraidi, Saeed's cousin brother.
The body of Saeed, who was in his 20s, arrived in the country on Monday, Al Suraidi added.
'He sacrificed life for country's glory'
Even though the family of Emirati martyr Saif Essa Obaid Al Naqbi is in mourning, his father is dignified.
"His martyrdom is the crown over our heads," he says. "He sacrificed his life for the nation, its dignity and glory,"
The Khor Fakkan-based family learnt about Al Naqbi's death on Sunday.
