Dubai - Instagram winner Kiran and cousin Vivian get a chance to meet idol

Vivian Almeida will not forget this day for the rest of his life. His cousin, Kiran Kadbet, won an Instagram competition to meet David Beckham at the Mall of the Emirates on Tuesday. He was allowed bring a guest with him.

So Kiran took Vivian along with him to meet football's one of the biggest superstars ever. "This is a very special day for me in my life because I met Beckham wearing this Real Madrid jersey," Vivian told Khaleej Times, proudly showing the 'White' of the 10-time European champions.
"One of the big reasons why I am wearing this shirt is that Beckham played for Real Madrid. The second reason is that I wore this jersey to see the game live when Espanyol played Real Madrid in Barcelona two weeks ago. And Cristiano Ronaldo scored five goals in that match!

"Plus the other reason is that both Beckham and Ronaldo played for Manchester United. I told Beckham why I am wearing this jersey today. That I was there when Ronaldo scored five. He was surprised as well," Vivian said. His cousin Kiran was over the moon. "I am a huge Manchester United fan. It's probably the best day of my life. And I got this big chance to meet him through a competition on Instagram," Kiran said.
"You needed to re-post certain photos that were posted by adidas. You basically had to explain why you are a big fan and why you deserve to meet him. And that basically was the contest.
"I entered the competition, telling them why I am a big fan and why I deserved to meet him. Three days later they sent me a message, saying I won. I was allowed to bring one guest. So I brought my cousin Vivian along. You know now that he is also an equally big Beckham fan.
"There were so many things that both of us wanted to tell Beckham. But trust me when the moment came to meet him, we just forgot everything that we had on our mind. It was a surreal moment. We just wanted to enjoy that moment."
