A dedicated helpline launched in Dubai will address Covid-19-related queries from students, parents and teachers. The 24/7 back-to-school helpline, 800-588, launched by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will offer health information to stay safe from Covid-19.
Fatima Al Khaja, director of the Customer Happiness Department at the DHA, said all government authorities and schools have "worked tirelessly" to ensure students are welcomed back with "enhanced" safety protocols. "The helpline is a mechanism to provide all stakeholders - parents, students and school staff in private schools in Dubai - with timely information."
Al Khaja said the helpline will also provide information on the precautionary measures and protocols that private schools in Dubai have adopted.
Last week, the DHA organised a workshop for 400 medical and administrative staff which focussed on standards that school clinics need to adhere to. It also highlighted the role of dedicated health and safety employees in schools. "The workshop also reinforced school health standards and protocols, preventative and precautionary measures that must be followed and emphasised on safety and quality of healthcare," Al Khaja added.
