The Ajman municipality has announced free parking in the emirate on Muharram 1 (August 31, 2019).

The authority made the announcement on its official Instagram account and added that the parking charges would be implemented from Muharram 2 (September 1) onwards.
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority on August 28, had also announced free parking in the emirate on the occasion of the Hijri New Year.
All parking areas, except multi-level parking terminals, will be free on Muharram 1, 1441, the RTA said.
Parking will be free in Sharjah on Muharram 1, the emirate's municipality announced on August 29. "All public parking spaces across the city will be free on the first day of Muharram on the occasion of the Hijri New Year," Sharjah Municipality said in an announcement on Twitter.
Lastly, Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre had announced free parking and services schedules for Muharram 1 holiday.

According to a statement issued by ITC on August 29, surface parking bays are free of charge starting from Muharram 1 until 7.59am on the following morning - during the Hijri New Year holiday.
