The Dubai Police on Wednesday reminded motorists that they can avail of discounts on traffic fines during the Year of Tolerance. Motorists can get up to 930 reduction on total accumulated traffic fines if they avoid committing violations for 12 months. Prior to that, the first discount will be issued in the month of May, slashing 25 per cent off traffic fines.
In a tweet, the Dubai Police reminded motorists to abide by road rules in order to avail of the increasing discount. Motorists who do not commit any violation for three months will be able to get 25 per cent discount on fines.
Their tweet stressed that law-abiding motorists must avoid committing any violation for the next month and a half to avail the discount.

The initiative was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
