Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has approved the fees of the Regulatory and Supervision Bureau for Electricity and Water in Dubai.
The resolution stipulates that the fees for issuing a licence for electricity and water production is Dh20,000 per year; the fees for issuing a licence for production of between 500 kilowatts and 1 megawatt of electricity is Dh1,000. It also stipulates that the fees for issuing or renewing a licence for production of between 1 megawatt and 10 megawatts of electricity is Dh10,000; and the fees for issuing a licence for producing between 10 megawatts and 50 megawatts of electricity is Dh30,000.
The fees for the license for producing over 50 megawatts of electricity is Dh30,000. A fee of Dh600 will be charged for production of each additional megawatt, payable from the date of actual electricity production.
