A unique way to grab the attention of motorists has been implemented in the UAE.
The municipality in the country's Al Dhafrah region has put in place a zebra crossing with a 3D effect, giving the illusion of raised white parallel lines above lines painted in darker colours. From a distance, the zebra crossing appears to be floating a few centimetres above the road, casting a shadow.
The 3D zebra crossing has been painted in Al Marfa city, Al Khaleej reported.
