How companies in UAE pranked the public on April Fool's Day

Today is April Fool's Day and it is the right opportunity for major brands to engage with their users with timely pranks.
Check out how three UAE brands pranked their users:

1. Chauffer-less drones by Emirates

Dubai's flagship airline Emirates posted a tweet introducing their chauffeur-less drones between any location in Dubai to Dubai International Airport from April 2020.
Staying true to their premium standards, each drone will feature two fully-enclosed first class private suites.

2. Ban on pizza crusts by Deliveroo

Food delivery app Deliveroo announced its plans to remove all crust options from the app, due to overwhelming anti-crust feedback from customers. The crust cull will begin on the Deliveroo app starting April 1 and will take effect in all their markets globally.
The company claims to move comes amid growing concern from Deliveroo around a growing group of customers who have launched a petition to have the plain edges of the pizza banned. The food company reports that "No crusts" has become the most frequent menu personalisation request from customers.
Clearly, this was a prank and users understood that the pizza crust ban was just a gimmick.

3. Namshi offers 'The Falcon Express'

One of the first brands to pull an April Fool's Day prank on their customers was online shopping platform, Namshi.
Last week, they announced the launch of 'The Falcon Express', a new, faster delivery option promising to deliver packages within 3 hours of placing an order on 1st April 2019. For fast delivery, the brand was supposed to use trained falcons for the purpose.
The brand issued a clarification on their website today. The message read - 'Although Habibi and friends won't be joining our delivery team, you can still get your parcel quickly thanks to our super speedy crew. Same great service, less feathers!'
