When starting a business, consumer interest must be among the top of list of priorities for businessmen. They must understand that consumers want to get products and services in a smooth manner.
In our markets, we often find that many trading establishments sell similar products. Yet, each of these shops have their own set of consumers. This can be explained by the way traders showcase their products. One trader may offer products at affordable prices, while another may offer gifts with the products.
Merchants need to understand that even if a particular product is available in abundance in the market, they needn't look for other products to sell. All you need to do is showcase the product in an innovative way.
Take automotive manufacturing companies, for example. They study markets before modifying their cars to suit each market. You may find that some cars with specific features that best suit Western countries are not available here in the GCC countries. This is due to the fact that the needs of consumers here are different.
Also, products that are runaway successes in some countries may not work in others. This is due to the fact that consumer interest may not be the same everywhere.
There are three essential things you have to bear in mind to sell products: Product display, professionalism and after-sale services.
