Dubai is a melting pot of world cultures and when you step out of your home, you will find yourself surrounded by people speaking different languages. The meeting of East and West and coming together of people from diverse backgrounds provides a perfect blend of diversity and this is what our schools thrive on.
Learning new languages and meeting new people are always exciting for many of us. The international appeal of Dubai is reflected in our schools and many students who move to Dubai look at the opportunity of taking up a new language.
Almost a year ago, we worked on an idea to bring together pioneering Arabic teachers and give them the stage to share their ideas on how they can inspire students. What followed next was beyond amazing and we were surprised to see the eagerness of teachers in learning how they can use digital content to improve Arabic classes. This is when we felt a strong positive energy and happiness coming from the teachers themselves. Whenever I speak to Arabic language teachers, I see an eagerness in them to share the love for this beautiful language.
We have heard many wonderful stories from children about how their Arabic language teachers have touched their minds and hearts. By allowing children to understand and enjoy the language, the teacher becomes an important part of the learning experience.
Parents can also bridge this language-learning gap and make an effort by getting themselves involved in their children's journey and learning Arabic with the young ones. It becomes much easier when the family gets together and creates a supportive environment at home.
Schools are working together and collaborating with each other to encourage better learning and by creating a common shared goal of helping students to speak and understand the language outside class is what matters.
We are all ambassadors of Arabic language, not just in schools but the community as well. Arabic brings happiness to our children. Together with teachers, students and school leaders, we believe in helping students to have fun in learning this wonderful language
