As many as 1,000 wishes of orphans will come true as part of the 'Sidreh of Wishes' initiative launched by the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF). Meanwhile, 20 orphans had their wishes come true with the participation of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) in the SSEF initiative.
The MoF participated in achieving 20 wishes for orphans, and the e-dirham system team presented gifts through an official visit in the presence of the foundation's representatives.
Younis Haji Al Khoori, the undersecretary of the MoF, stressed the ministry's commitment to contribute in achieving sustainable social and economic development for the community.
The MoF is developing an effective integration between its activities and the international corporate responsibility fields, including initiatives to develop the society and investing in societal programmes. The ministry is committed to empower the positive culture of social responsibility amongst its employees," he said.
Muna bin Haddah Al Suwaidi, director of the SSEF, highlighted the MoF's role in the success of this humanitarian campaign. Al Suwaidi also stressed the important role of the various social institutions in supporting orphans. He highlighted the initiatives amongst entities provides further community and institutional support to benefit the society.
The visiting delegation included Azza Al Suwaidi, director of the revenue development department at the MoF, Jamila bin Haidar, director of institutional and community partnership division, Azza Ali Al Jasmi, director of media communication division and Mira Al Jaberi, marketing executive.
