The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces announced the martyrdom of Emirati serviceman, 29-year-old Sergeant Ali Khalifa Hashel Al Mismari, on Sunday.
Hailing from Fujairah's Gharfa area, Mismari laid down his life while performing his national duty as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.
Families and relatives of the martyrs mourned his death as they received news of his martyrdom.
"The martyr has honourably and bravely sacrificed his soul and blood for his nation," they said.
Saeed Al Mismari, brother of the martyr, said the family was shocked to learn of his death. "His sacrifice is a source of pride and honour to the family."

The 29-year-old was married and had two kids - a three-year-old daughter, Fatima, and a one-and-half-year-old son, Khalifa.
"He is one of the nine siblings," added the brother. "He has four brothers; all servicemen, and five sisters."

The martyr insisted on taking part in the war in Yemen from the very beginning to defend justice and legitimacy, said Al Mismari.

"He used to be in regular contact with his family; the last was two weeks ago."

Commenting on character, the brother said that the martyr was a kind man and an obedient son, who was compassionate with his siblings.
"He was respected and loved by his friends due to his dedication and good manners."

Ibrahim Al Mismari, another brother, said he will remain as one of the greatest heroes of the UAE Armed Forces. "It is an honour for the entire family, Al Gharfa city, and the UAE to be crowned with his martyrdom."
