Residents living at Dubai's Jumeirah Village Triangle and Jumeirah Park areas have welcomed the reopening of the road joining the two communities, master developer Nakheel said on Monday.
The link, which opened on Saturday, provides convenient access between the communities, to Nakheel's nearby Jumeirah Islands development and to and from Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
A Nakheel spokesman said: "We are delighted to have completed work on this road, and appreciate residents' patience and understanding during its closure. The route is now fully upgraded, open and operational, allowing easier access between the communities and to nearby retail and recreational facilities such as Jumeirah Park Pavilion and Jumeirah Islands Club."
Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Village Triangle and Jumeirah Islands have around 15,000 residents between them, said Nakheel.
