Muhammed Rashid Khan, a dedicated Khaleej Times employee who was with the company for almost 30 years, passed away in Sharjah on Wednesday.
Khan, a senior electrician, joined the company in August 1986. Originally hailing from Karachi, Pakistan, he is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son, who live in Sharjah. His brother too worked in Khaleej Times.
Khan's friends and colleagues remember him as an avid cricketer, who was an all rounder and the opening batsman of Khaleej Times' cricket team. "He was a very happy and pleasant person," said a colleague. His funeral prayers were held on Wednesday night at Al Sahaba Mosque, in Sharjah.
