A housemaid went on trial accused of having illegal sex with a grocery delivery boy in her employer's home.
The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court of First Instance heard that the Asian woman, who is alleged to be married, was in r a relationship with a delivery boy.
And on the day of the incident, she phoned the Asian boyfriend who is also accused in the case, to come to her employer's house. The Arab family had apparently gone on an outing.
And when the man came, the housemaid went and opened for him. The pair allegedly had sex in the employer's house. The family later found out that the woman brought a man in their house and the pair engaged in intercourse there.
The employer reported the matter to police. And after making an investigation into the matter, the housemaid and his boyfriend were arrested. The woman had confessed to police that she was in a relationship with the Asian man and that they had sex in her boss's home.
Prosecutors charged the married woman with adultery and for allowing the man to enter her employer's house without permission. The delivery boy was charged with having illegal sex with the housemaid and for illegally entering into a resident's home.
The woman admitted to the charge of adultery when she appeared in court but her boyfriend denied the charges.
A lawyer representing the pair however asked the woman to retrack her confession to adultery because it can call for a severe punishment of being sentenced to death if she insisted that she committed to the crime.
The lawyer told court that the woman might have been coerced into confession and asked court to grant her time so she can change her mind.
And on the part of the Asian man, the lawyer argued that the man's work was to deliver groceries to people's homes and that it was illogical to accuse him for entering the said home without permission.
The lawyer asked court to clear the man of the charges. The trial was adjourned until August 29.
