A 45-year-old Pakistani national was arrested on Saturday for allegedly impersonating a police officer to commit robberies. The man carried out the robberies by posing as a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer.
The suspect's modus operandi saw him stop victims, quickly flash them his 'ID' before telling them he was an officer of the law.
Once he gained the trust of his victims, he would drive them to an isolated area and search them, before taking their personal belongings, including wallets, cash, watches and phones.
