An Asian has been charged for pouring acid 'intentionally' on the face of his supervisor, causing 25 per cent permanent injury to the victim. Both the accused and victim work in a supermarket in the Alasrya area.
During the court hearing presided by Judge Hussein Al Ousofi at the Sharjah Criminal Court, the suspect M.Sh denied the accusation that he poured acid on his colleague.
The supervisor M.A said that he was taken by surprise when the accused poured the acid on him, which disfigured his face.
He said that the accused was angry because he used to instruct him as he is neglecting the job and not performing his duties properly. During the court hearing the accused said that acid pouring happened accidently during a work dispute in the supermarket.
He denied that he poured the acid on him, though he has confessed it during the public prosecution investigation. The case was adjourned to January 25 to hear the victim again.
Separately, the Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance on Wednesday sentenced two Filipino women to six month in jail for involving in adultery followed by a deportation.
