A man who set his car on fire while going through personal problems has landed himself in jail, with the court to pronounce a ruling next Sunday.
The Emirati man, identified as A.A.A, in his twenties, had intentionally set fire to his car at Wadi Al Wuraiya Sanctuary, severely damaging the vehicle.
A.A.A lives in Al Badiya locality, 40km north of the Fujairah city.
According to court records, the police in Dibba received a report that a Mercedes car was on fire near Wadi Al Wuraiya waterfalls.
CID officers examined the vehicle and found out that the car belonged to the suspect. During interrogation, he admitted that he had set his car on fire.
The man was referred to the public prosecution, which referred him to the Federal Court in Dibba, Fujairah. The court shall give a ruling on March 27.
