A 25-year-old Indian, who attempted suicide by swallowing cockroach poison, was saved in the nick of time by his friend earlier this week. According to the police, the friend saw the man writhing in pain and rushed him to the Dubai Hospital. The Dubai Police were notified about the suicide attempt by the hospital authorities on Monday.
The police were told that the man dissolved three packets of poison in water and consumed it. The victim told the police he was depressed because his family was constantly asking him for money, which he didn't have.
His friend told the police that he was stunned to find the victim in pain at his residence in Naif. He made the victim vomit before rushing him to the hospital in a taxi. He told the police the victim is a good man, but his family keeps asking him for money due to which he got depressed.
