Man threatens guard with toy gun, arrested

A Gulf national has been arrested in Dubai for allegedly threatening a hotel security guard with a toy gun. The Dubai Public Prosecution is interrogating the suspect, who is believed to have been in an intoxicated state when he made the threats.
On Friday, the Dubai Police received information that the suspect was brandishing a gun and making threats in the Business Bay area. The police rushed to the scene, where a Pakistani security guard said he was on duty at the hotel when at 4.30am, the suspect parked his car in front of the hotel.
The suspect asked the guard to open the gate. When the guard asked the suspect for his identity card, the suspect pointed a gun at him.
The police arrested the suspect and seized the toy gun from him. The suspect claimed he was only attempting to scare the guard. The suspect was referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution on charges of consuming alcohol and making threats.
