Emanating from the keenness of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to commemorate the Emirati heroes who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has ordered construction of a memorial for the martyrs in the city of Abu Dhabi.
The memorial is a tribute to their selfless services and to keep their memory alive in the hearts of the future generations.
Shaikh Mohammed also instructed the Martyrs Families' Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court to oversee the construction of the memorial, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
