In response to the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in embodiment of his vision to strive to ensure the quality of higher education, to offer needed programmes and specialties, and prepare cadres to Emiratise the State's economy, the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the Ministry has recently accredited several programmes and specialties in a number of licensed higher education institutions in the state, which will be introduced in the academic year 2015/2016.
The programmes are; Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Health Information Management at Emirates College of Technology, Bachelor of Architecture at Al Ghurair University, Bachelor of Accounting at the Institute of Management and Technology, Master in Al Maliki Denomination and Contemporary Issues, and Doctorate of Philosophy in Islamic Fiqh and Issues of the Contemporary Society at the University Mohammed V - Abu Dhabi, Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Master of Science in Sustainable Architecture at Abu Dhabi University, Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacy in Al Ain University of Science and Technology, Postgraduate Diploma in Government Performance Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Government Service at the American University in Dubai, Doctorate of Philosophy in Education at the British University in Dubai, Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Public and Private Law at City University College Of Ajman, Diploma in Food Safety at the Canadian University of Dubai, Masters of Engineering in Engineering Management and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology - Dubai, and Diploma in Archiving and Electronic Publishing, Diploma in Building Technology and Construction and Diploma in Surveying at the University of Sharjah.
